Pavilion Cinema Membership Scheme Terms & Conditions..

These terms and conditions govern the membership scheme offered by the Pavilion Cinema. Please read the terms in full before you purchase a membership. If you do not accept these terms, please do not purchase a membership. Purchasing and using a membership implies that you accept these terms. We do occasionally update these terms so please refer back to them in the future. The last update to these terms & conditions was made on 23rd October 2016

1. Definition of membership

1.1 A member will be deemed to have become a member of the scheme on full payment of the membership fee, the Pavilion Cinema (“PC”) has accepted that person into the scheme and issued a membership card and online access to purchase the relevant discounted tickets. By paying the membership fee and joining the scheme you understand and accept these terms and conditions.

 

2. Silver membership

2.1 Silver membership costs £35 per year, per person. Open to persons aged 18 or over.

2.2 Membership benefits are:

a) Three free film tickets valid for any 2D film any day.

b) £1 off your own cinema ticket every film you see, all year.

c) 10% off all popcorn, draught soft drinks, nachos, hot dogs.

d) 5% off all other sweets, ice creams and bottled drinks.

e) Up to 15% discount on food at certain local restaurants.

2.3 Exclusions or conditions to the above:

a) The free cinema tickets are valid for 2D films only, must be used by the member only and are not transferable to others.

b) The £1 off your cinema ticket is for the member only and is not transferable to others.

c) 10% discount at sweetie counter not applicable to the purchase of gift vouchers or to items purchased using gift vouchers as a method of payment.

d) 5% discount at sweetie counter not applicable to the purchase of gift vouchers or to items purchased using gift vouchers as a method of payment.

e) Restaurant discount offer: See section 7 below for specific terms & conditions relating to this benefit.

2.4 General conditions and exclusions:

Cinema ticket discount can not be combined with our “family ticket” discount.

Discounted tickets can not be used for Parent & Baby screenings, Senior Screenings or on already discounted promotion days.

 

3. Gold membership.

3.1 Gold membership costs £45 per year, per person. Open to persons aged 18 or over.

3.2 Membership benefits are:

a) Three free film tickets valid for any 2D film any day.

b) £1 off your own cinema ticket every film you see, all year.

c) 10% off all popcorn, draught soft drinks, nachos, hot dogs.

d) 5% off all other sweets, ice creams and bottled drinks.

e) £1.50 off your own ticket for all Pavilion*Arts events all year.

f) Exclusive booking window for select Pavilion*Arts events.

g) A Free tea or coffee at each Pavilion*Arts event

h) Up to 15% discount on food at certain local restaurants.

3.3 Exclusions or conditions to the above:

a) The free cinema tickets are valid for 2D films only, must be used by the member only and are not transferable to others.

b) The £1 off your cinema ticket is for the member only and is not transferable to others.

c) 10% discount at sweetie counter not applicable to the purchase of gift vouchers or to items purchased using gift vouchers as a method of payment.

d) 5% discount at sweetie counter not applicable to the purchase of gift vouchers or to items purchased using gift vouchers as a method of payment.

e) The £1.50 off your own ticket for Pavilion*Arts events is for the member only and is not transferable.

f) Exclusive booking window will be offered for select Pavilion*Arts events when we are permitted to offer this facility. Advance booking windows will be communicated to all members by email.

g) One free hot drink per membership, at each Pavilion*Arts event.

h) Restaurant discount offer: See section 7 below for specific terms & conditions relating to this benefit.

 

4. Making use of your membership

4.1 Online booking

a) To view discounted ticket options relative to your membership you must log in using your email address and password you set up when singing up for membership.

b) You may log in from any ticket selection screen.

c) You may also log in here: Member Login

4.2 In person at the cinema

a) At the start of all transactions please show your membership card to the staff member. This will ensure the correct tickets are offered and the correct discounts are applied at the concessions stand.

 

5. Lost, stolen or defective cards

5.1 If your membership card is lost, stolen or has become defective please inform the cinema manager as soon as possible by calling in to the cinema or by calling 01896 752767.

5.2 Lost or stolen cards can be replaced in person at the cinema for a fee of £2 per card.

5.3 Cards which have become defective (providing this is not by obvious misuse or through poor care) will be replaced free of charge. Cards which have become defective due to misuse or poor care will be charged for replacement at £2 per card.

 

6. Membership renewal

6.1 Our current membership scheme is being closed and so renewals are not possible.

6.2 Current members can still enjoy all their membership benefits until their membership runs out.

 

7. Restaurant discount offer.

7.1 This section deals with the specific terms and conditions relating to the discount offered to Pavilion Cinema Members at participating local restaurants.

7.2 Participating restaurants are;

Kingsknowes Hotel

The Shish Restaurant

Grapevine Galashiels & Selkirk

7.3 – Kingsknowes Hotel

a) Discount offered is 10% off food

b) Not available on public hollidays

c) Can not be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion

d) Offer applicable to tables with a maximum of 4 persons

e) Membership card must be shown

7.4 – The Shish Restaurant

a) Discount offered is 10% off food ordered from main menu items

b) Available Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday only

b) Not available on Friday, Saturday, Valentines Day, Fathers Day or Mothers Day

c) Discount not available for use against buffet meals

d) Offer applicable to tables with a maximum of 4 persons

e) Membership card must be shown

7.5 – Grapevine

a) Valid at Grapevine Galashiels and Selkirk

b) Discount offered is 15% off food order when table spend is £25 or more

c) Not available through month of December

d) Membership card must be shown

7.6 – Oriental Galashiels

a) Discount offered is 10% off food order

b) Offer applicaple to tables with a maximum of 4 persons

c) Not available through month of December

d) Membership card must be shown

 

8. Liability.

8.1 PC shall not be liable to the member in respect of any direct, indirect or consequential damage, costs or expenses or any other claims for consequential loss whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the PC Membership. The liability of PC shall not exceed the annual membership fee paid by the member.

 

9. Privacy.

9.1 member data provided at the time of registration and/or collected as part of your ongoing membership is subject to our general Privacy Policy which can be found here: Pavilion Cinema Privacy Policy

 

10. Membership cancellation.

10.1 Cancellation by the member.

a) Members may cancel their membership at any time for any reason in writing to the Cinema Manager, Pavilion Cinema, Market Street, Galashiels, TD1 3AF.

b) No refund will be given for any cancelled membership.

c) Cancelled memberships can not be reopened.

10.2 Cancellation by Pavilion Cinema.

a) PC reserves the right to terminate any membership account in the event of fraud, false declarations or falsifications in registration, fraudulent use of the Membership Card, an irregularity in payment, failure to comply with these Pavilion Cinema Membership Terms and Conditions or failure to comply with any other Pavilion Cinema General Terms and Conditions.

b) PC will give fourteen days written notice of intent to cancel. Any benefits or discounts not claimed by the date of cancellation will be cancelled and the member will be unable to claim them in the future.

c) No refund will be given for any cancelled membership.

 

11. Future changes to benefits and discounts.

11.1 The benefits and discounts referred to above are kept under constant review and Pavilion Cinema reserves the right to change, remove or add any benefit, discount or promotion at any time.

11.2 Third party discounts or benefits which we have no control over may be changed or removed without notice at any time.
